Flipgrid

Valerie Sun April 5, 2020

Learners record short, authentic videos based on topics teachers select for Flipgrid. Learners share their voices and build upon the diverse voices of their peers.

In the interpretive mode, students listen carefully to the video that was recorded in the target language by their peers and demonstrate their understanding. Students can respond to the speaker, but not in real time as they would in a conversation. In the presentational mode, students prepare the response to the prompt, create their short video, and share it with the audience.
